Amazon Police at it again…
Just read that Amazon is going after the people who are posting for reviews on Fiverr, I can support that but then what about Amazon deleting reviews?
Amazon is trying to clean the messy waters of book reviews but at the same time it’s making waves. Right now, if the Amazon Review Police believe that a book’s review is from someone who seems to be “too friendly” with the author, they delete it…well that’s not right either.
An author’s job, outside of writing and publishing their works, is to attract fans, new and existing. We, at BookRhythm, sell Marketing Events that do this every day for authors. What makes an author an “expert marketeer” is taking those initial connections made during events and cultivates those into personal experiences between them and the fan. Why? Well Maya said it best…

So here is the perplexing situation that Amazon finds themselves in, do they continue to monitor the ridiculousness as they have been with reviews that look “too friendly” or do they realize that authors are now also becoming marketing experts and doing exactly what they need to too become bestselling authors? While only going after those who are buying and selling reviews for a false gain, which helps no one. Is that not a better use of their time and department hours?
