After the amazing success of our April Kindle giveaway, we decided that it would be fun to do something else and let everyone meet the winner. With this in mind, we sat down with Karen Palmer Arrowood and asked her a few questions. Let’s see what she had to say.
BookRhythm: A little about yourself.
Karen: Um, let’s see…. I have been married for 23 years to my wonderful hubby; we have a 13 year old and a 9 year old that keep us hopping I work for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (22 years). I have loved to read since I was very little, and have passed that love of reading on to my kids. I always have at least 2 or 3 books going, and there are piles of books at my house waiting to be read
BookRhythm: How did you hear about the BookRhythm Event?
Karen: I honestly am not sure how I found out about the event, but most likely it was on Facebook. I probably saw that one of my friends was going, so i joined in too.
BookRhythm: How many books do you read a month?
Karen: I am so busy right now that my reading has slowed down a lot. I am trying to read 8-10 books per month, but I’m not always successful at that.
BookRhythm: What are your favorite genres to read?
Karen: I read across a wide variety of genres. I love what I call medical mysteries, as well as other mysteries and thrillers. I have also been reading a fair amount of PNR in the last year. I read a lot of YA books, because I want to be sure they are appropriate before i let my kids read them.
BookRhythm: Do you have any “must read” authors?
Karen: My must read authors include Kathy Reichs, Liz Crowe, Iris Johansen, John Sandford, Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child, Michael Palmer, Stephen King, Anne Perry, Jude Devereaux, Julie Garwood, Linda Fairstein, Patricia Cornwell.
We would like to thank Karen again for taking part in the event and also agreeing to be interviewed for our very first winner blog post. Who will be our next? Will it be you? For your chance don’t forget to enter our May Kindle Giveaway.
